Hope for the Holidays
Thank you for supporting our 2009 Christmas Hope for the Holidays Program!
For many, the Thanksgiving Holiday is the official beginning of "the season of giving." During Thanksgiving and Christmas, our community partners join us to meet the physical, financial, and social needs of families living with breast cancer in the Atlanta area.
Through our partnership with the Grady Health System Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence, we adopt families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. For Thanksgiving we provide each family with a fully-cooked holiday meal, gift basket and gift cards to assist with pharmaceutical purchases. For Christmas, we provide families with food and other personalized items including furniture, appliances, and warm clothing. The children of the participants also receive age-appropriate toys, books, educational gifts, and other holiday treats.
