Dear Friends,

It is with a mix of emotions that we share some important news regarding The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation's future initiatives and projects.

After careful consideration and reflection on our impact, we have decided to transition to a more focused approach to our work in Alger County. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after years of dedication to fighting the financial burden of breast cancer for patients in both Metro Atlanta and Alger County.

We are immensely proud of the work accomplished in Metro Atlanta. We have provided over $500,000 of financial support to breast cancer patients at Grady Cancer Center for Excellence.  Our Hope for the Holidays program has extended a caring hand to breast cancer patients and their families during the Holiday season with much-needed financial assistance and emotional support.  Together, with your support, we have helped hope find a home for many families braving the fight against breast cancer.

As we move forward, concentrating our efforts in Alger County will allow us to deepen our impact with less administrative costs allowing more dollars to go directly to patients and their families.  Breast cancer treatment requires more than medicine; socioeconomically challenged families need a place to call home while they heal, food, and transportation.  We want to ensure that a greater percentage of every dollar raised at The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation can go directly to individuals most affected by the financial burden of breast cancer treatment.

We understand that transitions like these may bring about questions, and we want to assure you that our commitment to transparency and accountability remains unwavering.

While our work in Metro Atlanta will be sunsetting the end of January 2024, our mission will live on through the newly formed Danielle Beverly ANGEL Fund at the Grady Foundation.  For those who wish to continue supporting the patients at Grady Cancer Center for Excellence, a donation can be made directly through this link.

We express our deepest gratitude for your support, dedication, and belief in our mission. Without your generosity, our work would not have been possible.  We will keep you updated on our progress and the impactful work we will undertake in Alger County, through social media. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Once again, thank you for being an integral part of our journey and for your continued support.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Eric & Danielle, Co-Founders

Welcome kathy!

new board member

ATLANTA, April 13, 2022 - We super are excited to welcome Kathy Jacobs to our Board of Directors.

Kathy is a Managing Director at Accenture, where she serves as a Senior Client Account Executive to Accenture's Financial Services clients. She is also Accenture’s Financial Services Lead for Atlanta and a member of Accenture’s Atlanta Office Leadership Council. Kathy has worked 25+ years consulting to banks and payments companies and leading Accenture’s relationships with some of the nation's key financial services companies.

Outside of work, you can find Kathy trying to stay in shape with her Peloton obsessed husband Scott, keeping her older daughter Katie from adopting any more pets before she graduates from veterinary school in May, and counseling her younger daughter Emily about “life after college” as she graduates from UGA in May. Kathy is also an avid football and basketball fan cheering on the UGA Dawgs and Duke Blue Devils!

Kathy was first introduced to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation at our Betting on a Cure event in 2016. She has been an active volunteer/donor for our Hope for the Holidays events for the past two years.

“Having watched my mother battle breast cancer as a child and supporting several friends through their breast cancer journeys, I know firsthand how difficult the battle can be. However, I can’t imagine the added stress of worrying about being able to afford treatment, transportation, and time off work, let alone also caring for your family. These struggles are too real for socioeconomically challenged breast cancer patients, and I am honored to help advocate on their behalf as a part of The Eric R. Beverly Foundation.”

All of us at The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation are honored and excited to have Kathy on our board and we look forward to her contribution.

ATLANTA, Feb. 1, 2021 - The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation welcomes Tracy Wilson as Executive Director. Tracy will work closely with founders Eric and Danielle Beverly to oversee foundation operations, fundraising, and the management and execution of Atlanta and Michigan based programs.  She begins serving in the role effective immediately.

Tracy’s shared passion for community service -- specifically breast cancer & children’s charities – initially brought her to volunteer with the Foundation after attending the 2017 Casino Night event.  Since that time, she has purposefully become more involved.  She started volunteering in 2018, and recently co-chaired our first annual fundraiser, "hope.help.heal".

Tracy earned a BSBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Arizona and has since worked in staffing, special needs children's services, and early education.  While her children were young, she became engaged in a number of charitable organizations such as The Ronald McDonald Houses, CURE Childhood Cancer and The Alliance Theater.  Children have always played a large role in Tracy’s life. Following the birth of her second child, she became an active volunteer and leader in various organizations at her children’s schools, helped start a multisensory facility for children with special needs and for the past four years, has been teaching in a local Pre-School.

Looking to the future, Tracy plans to dedicate her time enriching our programs, expanding our presence in the community and raising funds so we may help more patients and their families.
