Stake the Lake will begin at Munising Middle-High School (810 West M-28)
Registration will be in the gym and begins at 9:00am.
Program including Raffle / Silent Auction / 50/50 will all take place prior to the walk at 10:00am.
Walk to follow.

Register by August 29th and receive a free t-shirt.

Stake the Lake is all about celebrating the spirit of survivors and honoring the memory of loved ones who have been touched by cancer. You can register to walk with us, as well as decorate a garden stake to celebrate or honor a special person in your life. The personalized stakes will line the bay beginning at Bayshore Park. This will be a morning you won’t want to miss!

Stake the Lake proceeds benefit our Alger County Chemotherapy and Mammography Program (CHAMP) Fund. Through this fund, over $180,000 has been awarded in the form of individual grants to cover treatment-related expenses for our Alger County neighbors battling breast and other forms of cancer.

The CHAMP Fund also provides An Awareness Campaign with monthly messages designed to educate about the life-and-death importance of early detection for surviving breast cancer. We’ve provided scholarships to Munising High School/Alger County high school students since 2006 and we joyfully contributed $10,000 to help Munising Memorial purchase digital imaging equipment in 2011.
